A start-up Revenue Leader is the first non-founding Revenue Leader. This person, a sales leader, has the primary responsibility of driving new revenue growth as well as building the sales team. They’re responsible for developing and executing a sales strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and objectives. They will hire, train and manage the sales team, as well as work cross-functionally to ensure that the sales process is aligned with the marketing, product, and customer success teams.

This Revenue Leader is data-driven as they focus on the implementation and optimization of a well-defined process as the start -up begins to scale. They’re capable of managing large teams and leading people and are can adapt to change and make changes where needed.
